Mathletics Student Centre
Mathletics is used by over 3.5 million students worldwide. I collaborated with the team as part of a two-year redesign of the Student Centre and new course structure — a more coherent teaching framework, a modernised interface, and a certificate system rebuilt from 3 to 40 — giving students one clearer place to work, track progress, and earn recognition.
The problem
Student retention was falling. The platform was visually dated, the course structure wasn't grounded in a coherent learning framework, and the engagement model wasn't designed to keep students coming back consistently.
The work
I collaborated on a two-year redesign spanning the full student-facing platform: a more explicit teaching framework, a new Student Centre interface, and a certificate system that rewarded consistent weekly learning instead of one-off peaks.
Outcome
increase in maths activity completion
certificates earned grew after launch
most certificates ordered in a single week
